Tatum had a monstrous first-round showing against the Brooklyn Nets, averaging just under 30 points in Boston’s four-game sweep. Then in the second-round matchup against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, the 24-year-old scored 30 and 34 points in Games 4 and 5, respectively.
The Celtics are currently in a 3-2 hole, meaning one more loss in either of the next two games will end their memorable season. Fortunately, they have one of the game’s best scorers in Tatum to help save the day.
3. Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors
Curry is the oldest player on this list. But even in his 13th season, the 34-year-old is still playing at a high level, averaging 25.5 points to lead the Warriors to yet another long postseason run.
The two-time MVP breezed past back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Round 1, dropping 30 or more points in three of the five games. He’s also scored 30 and 32 in Games 3 and 4 against the Memphis Grizzlies, the latter of which was an epic comeback victory.
