Ranking the Top 5 Players Left in the NBA Playoffs
The 2022 NBA Playoffs have delivered many unforgettable moments night after night. With the field of 16 teams already trimmed down to eight, the remaining clubs will battle until one team is left standing with the coveted Larry O’Brien Trophy. Even with eight teams left, the NBA Playoffs feature several game-changing stars that make for must-watch television. It’s no easy task to narrow down the list to just five stars worth watching, but it is easy to bet on the latest MLB odds.
Here are the top five players left in this year’s NBA Playoffs. And don’t forget to bet on any of them at Bet US, home to some of the biggest bonuses and promotions out there.
5. Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns
The best player on the NBA’s best team is fittingly starting this list. Booker averaged a career-high 26.8 points in 2021-22, lifting the Suns to a league-best 64-18 record. The three-time All-Star was rewarded for his stellar campaign with a fourth-place finish in MVP voting.
Booker missed half of Phoenix’s opening-round games against the New Orleans Pelicans due to an injury. However, the 25-year-old has had a tremendous series against the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 26.8 points on just under 48.0% shooting.
The Suns are now one win away from the conference finals. From there, Booker will look to carry his team to the title round for the second straight year.
4. Jayson Tatum – Boston Celtics
Much like Booker did last season, Tatum is officially in the superstar conversation following his impressive year in Boston. The fifth-year vet managed a career-high in points (26.9), rebounds (8.0), and assists (4.4), leading the Celtics to the second seed in a loaded Eastern Conference.
Tatum had a monstrous first-round showing against the Brooklyn Nets, averaging just under 30 points in Boston’s four-game sweep. Then in the second-round matchup against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, the 24-year-old scored 30 and 34 points in Games 4 and 5, respectively.
The Celtics are currently in a 3-2 hole, meaning one more loss in either of the next two games will end their memorable season. Fortunately, they have one of the game’s best scorers in Tatum to help save the day.
3. Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors
Curry is the oldest player on this list. But even in his 13th season, the 34-year-old is still playing at a high level, averaging 25.5 points to lead the Warriors to yet another long postseason run.
The two-time MVP breezed past back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Round 1, dropping 30 or more points in three of the five games. He’s also scored 30 and 32 in Games 3 and 4 against the Memphis Grizzlies, the latter of which was an epic comeback victory.
Despite being the lower seed, Golden State is one win from advancing to the Western Conference Finals. And if the Warriors keep winning, Steph could soon hoist the fourth championship trophy in his esteemed Hall of Fame-worthy career.
If you believe Curry and the Warriors are championship-bound, make sure to bet them at Bet US, your home for all NBA playoff betting.
2. Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks
As the youngest player in the top five, Doncic lacks the playoff resume of someone like Curry. However, the 23-year-old is doing everything he can to lead the Mavericks to a dramatic upset of the Suns.
The Slovenian star had another impressive regular season, averaging 28.4 points for the 52-win Mavs. However, he’s stepped up his game even more in the playoffs, averaging 29.0 points to put away the Utah Jazz in six games. Now, the three-time All-Star is registering 32.0 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists through five games against Phoenix.
Doncic, who never won a playoff series before this season, is on the brink of elimination. But if there’s anyone who can put up huge numbers and lead a massive comeback, it’s him.
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks
This list has many superstars — ones who were good enough to push guys like James Harden and Joel Embiid aside. But there is no player in the NBA, let alone amongst the ones left standing, that should be placed above Antetokounmpo.
The Greek Freak followed up his 2021 Finals MVP performance with a dominant season, averaging a career-best 29.9 points to go with 11.6 rebounds. Yet the six-time All-Star is even better in the playoffs. First, Giannis rolled through the Chicago Bulls with 28.6 points and 13.4 rebounds. Now, the 27-year-old has an average of 33.6 against Boston, including two 40-point performances.
With double-doubles in seven of his 10 playoff games, Antetokounmpo has the Bucks on the verge of a second-round win and a trip to their third conference final in four years. There’s no player in basketball who you’d want more to lead you there than Giannis.
